1. Two-legged boat switch

The correct connection method is that the positive pole of the power supply can enter any terminal of the boat switch, and then the other terminal of the power supply can lead out the load and return to the negative pole of the power supply.

2. Tripod boat switch

There should be no indicator lights at the three ends, and there should be normally open and normally closed points, usually the midpoint in the middle, and both ends are normally open or normally closed (that is, switches in different directions).

When making the transfer switch, the center is the moving contact and the two ends are the fixed contact; when making a single switch, only the middle column and any column on the side can be connected.

The main factors affecting the quality of the ship switch are:

First of all, the focus is on the selection of elements and materials of the boat switch, such as protection, weldability, conduction stability, life, feel, production process, equipment specifications, etc.

First, the pin material is brass or phosphor bronze (the lower layer is iron). In order to reduce the contact resistance of the boat switch, the pins are basically plated with silver, and the silver will oxidize when it encounters SO2 gas in the air, which directly affects the solderability and contact resistance of the switch. Therefore, the control of the thickness and process of silver plating of the boat switch pin needs to be in place. Silver plating on the market at present is as follows:

Boat switch pin silver plating thickness: 0.3um above (thick silver),0.2um (thin silver),0.1um (white plating). Silver plating process: material pre-nickel silver, material pre-copper silver, material direct silver plating. It is very important whether the protective agent has been treated after silver plating or whether the switch has dustproof and waterproof performance. Otherwise, no matter how good the silver plating process is, the switch pin will gradually oxidize.

The second is the manufacturing process in production. After the accessories are available, the assembly process will affect the quality. The assembly process depends on the manufacturer's advanced equipment, the quality awareness of employees and the quality inspection of the factory. Only with different rigorous attitudes towards quality can we produce high-quality products that meet specifications.

Now there are two ways of manual and machine assembly in the industry. Because automation technology is still advancing, each has its own advantages and disadvantages: the machine assembly cost is low but the product quality cannot be guaranteed, and the manual assembly cost is higher but the quality is more controllable.

Three is the factory inspection. Factory inspection methods and items affect the quality of the boat switch. For example, whether the appearance, feel, conductivity, resistance and other items are sampled or fully inspected. For example, the scrap rate required by some large manufacturers is measured by PPM or zero defects, so it is necessary to set up sampling inspection or quality inspection after factory inspection.
